E-varamu portal is the shared search portal of Estonian libraries, museums and archives.

The partners and data sources of E-varamu can be viewed hereE-varamu offers the metadata of over 15 million objects and about one million digital objects, these numbers keep growing. Under cooperation agreements with partners, the E-varamu portal also provides access to the data of memory institutions which are not members of ELNET.

The E-varamu portal boasts 121 934 page views annually, the average visit duration is 4 minutes. Along with Estonian visitors, the largest number of visits are made from Russia and the United States.

The E-varamu portal was created as an object of the Estonian Research Infrastructure Roadmap under the project “Estonian E-varamu and preservation of collections (first stage)” which ended in December 2015. Its founding partners were the Consortium of Estonian Libraries Network, University of Tartu, Tallinn University, Estonian Literary Museum, National Library of Estonia and the National Archives of Estonia.

The portal is managed by the Consortium of Estonian Libraries Network. It operates the software of the German Digital Library and its development partner is Convit GmbH (the previous partner was Fraunhofer Institute Intelligent Analysis and Information Systems (IAIS)). The user interface of the portal is in Estonian, English and Russian.

E-varamu portal is a partner to Europeana, the European Digital Library established at the initiative of the European Commission.
